TDA President attends the reception for the Emperor of Japan’s birthday

On 12 February 2026, Mr. Amornchai Sirisai, President of the Thai Civilian Deminer Association (TDA), was invited to the reception celebrating the 66th birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, held in the Plenary Hall of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok.

Japan has long supported TDA’s mine action through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). Between 2014 and 2024, JAIF funded four TDA projects that returned 86,348,648 m² of safe land to border communities and removed 19,608 landmines and items of UXO.

TDA thanks the Government and people of Japan for helping return safe land to Thai families.
